Spacing note

The slash can mean two different things.

As a punctuation character, slash has the Morse pattern -..-. As a formatting convention on this site, a slash between Morse groups marks a word gap.

For example, HELP ME is written as .... . .-.. .--. / -- . where the slash separates words rather than representing the slash symbol itself.
