A dot lights the screen for one timing unit. A dash stays on for three units. The screen remains dark for one unit inside a character, three units between letters, and seven units between words.

This version uses the browser screen as a signal light, so it works without camera permission on phones, tablets, and computers.
How long is a dot or dash flash?
A dot lasts one timing unit and a dash lasts three. The selected WPM controls the length of each timing unit.
Can I use light Morse code in an emergency?
Do not rely on this browser tool for emergency communication. Use official emergency channels and equipment whenever possible.
